Venture Partner Joins Board of Directors, Leading LeviSense Fundraising Efforts
Beverly, MA – June 1, 2022 – Venture-backed medical smart surface company, LeviSense Medical, Inc., announced that W. Adam Hill, PhD has joined its board of directors.
Dr. Hill is a General Partner and Co-Founder of the Formation Venture Engineering Fund, which specializes in bringing platform technologies in the life sciences and MedTech space to market. Dr. Hill was a biotech and pharmaceutical scientist with management roles at pharma heavyweights, such as Novartis. After Novartis, he formed a number of biotech startups for which he raised more than $200 million.
“Adam understands how to strategically deploy capital to create maxim value for all of the stakeholders and investors. The Formation Fund believed in our vision to fundamentally change the practices for pressure injury management and prevention and helped bring it to reality,” said Dave Bertoni, LeviSense CEO.
Dr. Hill sits on the boards of several technology companies including IonSense who recently had an exited by acquisition. “The Formation VE Fund supported LeviSense’s platform technology development from the beginning. We foresee multiple rewarding exit opportunities on the horizon,” said Dr. Hill.
