United Spinal Association’s Director of the Spinal Cord Injury Resource Center, Bill Fertig, Becomes Advisor to LeviSense
Beverly, MA –January 5, 2021 – Venture-backed medical technology development company, LeviSense Medical, Inc., is pleased to announce that Bill Fertig is joining the board of advisors.
Bill Fertig is the Director of the Spinal Cord Injury Resource Center at United Spinal Association. The United Spinal Association network of 48 chapters, 195 support groups and over 100 rehabilitation programs assisting people living with spinal cord injuries and disorders (SCI/D), their families and caregivers, clinicians and disability stakeholders. United Spinal Association has advocated for civil rights for people with disabilities, many of them returning veterans, since 1946 to improve the quality of life of Americans with spinal cord injuries or disorders.
Mr. Fertig and his team of Information Specialists curate, collect and disseminate guidance to members of the SCI community. The United Spinal Association’s Resource Center handles hundreds of case requests for assistance per month. Their role is to match the needs of the individual living with SCI with the resources to enhance the quality of life and foster greater independence and provide support and information to loved ones, care providers and professionals.
